PawsGuide respects your privacy. This document explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data we collect

• Signup: name, email, and (optional) phone;
• Usage: history of downloaded guides;
• Contact form: name, email, message;
• Automatic: IP, browser type, pages visited (via essential cookies).

2. Purpose

• Give you access to acquired guides;
• Reply to contact messages;
• Improve site content.

3. Legal basis

We process data based on your consent (given at signup) and performance of a contract (to deliver the guides), in line with the POPIA framework in South Africa.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. We use the following third-party services:

• Lovable Cloud: authentication and database;
• Hosting provider: content delivery.

5. Cookies

We only use essential cookies to keep your session active. We do not use advertising tracking cookies.

6. Your rights

At any time you may:

• Access, correct, or delete your data;
• Withdraw your consent;
• Request portability.

Send your request via the contact page. We reply within 15 days.

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. After deletion, we erase it within 30 days.

8. Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, and row-level security in the database. No system is 100% invulnerable — in case of an incident, we will notify those affected.

9. Minors

The site is not intended for children under 13.
